Description
BAPTA and its derivatives are calcium ion chelators that are commonly used to form stable calcium buffers, which are more selective for calcium ions than EDTA and EGTA. By injecting or incubating cells with the chelators to control the cytosolic calcium concentration, an important means to study the roles of calcium. The advantages of these calcium chelators include relative insensitivity toward intracellular pH change and fast release of calcium.

1. The recommended storage concentration of the product is 10 μM and it is soluble in Ca2+ free buffer.
