Description

APTS is a green fluorescent dye suitable for labeling glycoprotein or glycomolecule. The tagging principle is that the amino group of APTS reacts with the glycoaldehydes or ketones on the sugar molecules to form Schiff base, further reducing the Schiff base and forming a stable carbon nitrogen bond. APTS is an ideal dye for the study of carbohydrate molecules by high resolution capillary electrophoresis.

Notes:

1. There are quenching problems with fluorescent dyes. Please avoid light to slow down the fluorescence quenching.
